SE Ranking’s AI tracking is a solid choice if you already run your SEO in SE Ranking: its Core plan, $129 a month on monthly billing, tracks 100 prompts a day across five AI surfaces (Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity), next to your rankings, audits, backlinks and Search Console data. Where it stops is the engine list. Claude, Grok and Microsoft Copilot are not tracked, and SE Visible, its standalone AI dashboard from $99 a month, covers the same five, with Claude listed as coming soon. For buyers who ask Claude or Grok, the better fit is Cituna: it checks seven engines, Claude and Grok included, every day from $39 a month, and generates the fix for each answer you are missing from.
Every SE Ranking figure here comes from SE Ranking’s own pages (seranking.com and visible.seranking.com) as we read them on October 4, 2026. Check them again before you buy: AI tracking plans change often. Disclosure: we build Cituna, which competes with SE Ranking’s AI tracking.
How we reviewed it
We read SE Ranking’s subscription page, its AI visibility tracker page and the pricing section and FAQ of the SE Visible site on October 4, 2026. We compared what each option includes against three questions a buyer of an AI tracker usually has: which engines does it read, how many prompts does it check and how often, and what does it cost to start. Where we compare with Cituna, we compare on those same three points, with our own figures from our pricing page.
What SE Ranking offers for AI visibility
SE Ranking sells AI tracking in three ways, and the names overlap, which is where most of the confusion in searches for “SE Ranking AI tracker” comes from.
| Option | What you get | Engines | Listed price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core plan (the SEO suite) | 100 prompts a day, AI source tracking, AI competitor research on 5 domains, MCP access and Search Console integration, alongside rank tracking, audits and backlinks. Growth ($279/mo) raises it to 250 prompts a day | 5: Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity | $129/mo monthly, $103.20/mo annual |
| AI Search add-on | 200 more prompts (450 and 1,000 prompt tiers also listed), unlimited AI competitor research, plus access to SE Visible with 200 prompts | The add-on’s listing names AI Overviews, AI Mode, Perplexity and ChatGPT | From $89/mo monthly or $71.20/mo annual, added to a plan |
| SE Visible (standalone) | A separate AI-visibility dashboard, no suite needed: Basic has 200 prompts and 3 projects, Core 450 prompts and 5 projects, Plus 1,000 prompts and 10 projects, refreshed daily, 10-day free trial | ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode, Perplexity, AI Overviews; Claude listed as coming soon | Basic $99/mo, Core $189/mo, Plus $355/mo; 20% off on annual billing |

What it does well
It sits inside a full SEO suite. If you already use SE Ranking for rank tracking, site audits and backlinks, AI tracking arrives on the same plan, so there is no second tool to learn and no second bill on Core.
It records how the answer was built. SE Ranking tracks both mentions and links, shows which domains and URLs each engine pulled from, and keeps cached copies of the answers so you can read how your brand was described. It collects answers through each engine’s own interface, the way a user would see them.
Search Console and MCP are on the same plan. You can set AI answers next to real Google clicks, and query the data from an AI assistant through MCP, without paying for an upgrade.
The prompt volume is generous. 100 prompts a day on Core is a large sample for the price, if the five engines are the ones your buyers use.
What it cannot show you
Claude, Grok and Microsoft Copilot. None of the three is tracked on any SE Ranking option as of October 4, 2026. SE Visible’s FAQ says Claude will be added soon. If a meaningful share of your buyers ask Claude or Grok, a dashboard of five engines will report your position without them, and you cannot tell from inside the tool whether those engines name you.
AI visibility on its own, without the suite. Inside SE Ranking, AI tracking comes with a platform plan, so the cheapest way in is $129 a month for a bundle that includes tools you may not need. SE Visible is the way around that, from $99 a month, but it is a second product with its own login and the same five engines.
The fix. SE Ranking shows you where you are missing and which sources the engines used. Turning that into a page change, schema, an FAQ block or a new article is still your job.

The choice comes down to two questions. If you already pay for SE Ranking and its five engines cover the models your buyers use, its Core plan is good value and there is little reason to add a tool. If your buyers use Claude or Grok, or you want AI visibility tracked without paying for an SEO suite, a dedicated tracker fits better. Cituna checks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode every day, generates the fix for each gap, and writes 30 articles a month on Starter. Neither Cituna nor SE Ranking tracks Microsoft Copilot. For other options and their prices, see our SE Ranking AI tracker alternatives and our AI visibility tool pricing guide.
How to test SE Ranking before you commit
Take the 14-day Core trial (no card; SE Ranking says the trial includes 20 AI prompts a day) and load the ten to twenty questions your buyers ask most. Watch two things in the first week. First, how often each engine changes its answer to the same question, which tells you how many days of data you need before trusting a trend. Our note on how often AI answers change explains why that matters. Second, which outside pages the engines cite when they name a rival instead of you, because those pages are usually where the fix starts.
Then check the engines SE Ranking does not cover. Ask Claude and Grok the same questions by hand, or run them through a tracker that includes both. If either engine names you differently, that gap belongs in your decision. Our guide on how to choose an AI visibility tool lists the other criteria worth scoring.
The short version
SE Ranking’s AI tracker is a good fit for teams already in SE Ranking whose buyers use Google’s AI surfaces, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. If Claude or Grok matter to you, or you want the fixes generated rather than only the gaps listed, Cituna tracks seven engines daily and generates the fix for each answer you are missing from.
