Vaylis sells AI search monitoring on simple prompt tiers with unlimited seats. Which alternative fits depends on which AI engines your buyers use and whether you need an API before an enterprise contract. Below we compare nine tools on engines, refresh, API access, price and how you start, with Vaylis as the baseline.
Fair-comparison note:
What Vaylis offers, as shown on October 9, 2026
Vaylis is a monitoring and optimization product for AI search. Its home page says it tracks competitor visibility, monitors answer engines and charts your visibility over time, then gives actionable recommendations, and it invites visitors to book a demo. The same page names seven assistants it wants to win you clients from: Perplexity, ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Meta AI, Grok and Claude.
The pricing page tells a narrower story for self-serve buyers. It shows four plans, priced in euros, each including VAT, with a 7-day free trial and no annual option. The page loads its prices in the browser, so check the figure at checkout. The plans as shown on October 9, 2026:
| Vaylis plan | Price | Prompts, checked daily | Data points a month | API | Support |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | Vaylis €49/mo incl. VAT | 15 | 1,350 | No | |
| Growth | Vaylis €119/mo incl. VAT | 50 | 4,650 | No | |
| Scale | Vaylis €289/mo incl. VAT | 200 | 18,600 | No | Priority email |
| Enterprise | Vaylis from €699 incl. VAT | Custom | 27,900+ | Yes, plus warehouse sync | Priority email and phone, 99.9% uptime SLA |
Source: vaylis.ai/pricing, read October 9, 2026. Every plan lists unlimited users and seats and CSV export. Enterprise adds SAML single sign-on, audit logs and dedicated onboarding.
In the plan comparison, Vaylis’s pricing page marks the self-serve plans with ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews logos; Enterprise reads “base platforms + add-ons”. Vaylis does not say in text on that page which engines the add-ons are.
Why buyers compare Vaylis with other trackers
Vaylis is simple to buy: one price per prompt tier, nothing to configure per seat, and an export on the first plan. The reasons people look further show up on the same pricing page:
- Three engines on the plans you can buy online. Claude, Grok, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and Google AI Mode are not among the logos on the Starter, Growth or Scale plans, even though the home page names several of them.
- No API until Enterprise. A team that wants Vaylis data in its own dashboard or warehouse needs the Vaylis plan that starts at €699, or works from CSV files.
- Euro pricing with VAT included. Simple in the EU; a buyer elsewhere should check what the Vaylis checkout charges.
- Reports, not drafted changes. Vaylis promises recommendations. Teams that want the schema or the missing article drafted for them look at tools that generate it.
How we chose these nine
- It records what AI engines say about your brand for prompts you choose, including whether you are named and which brands are named instead.
- It covers ground the Vaylis self-serve plans do not: an engine beyond ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews on its first plan, an API below enterprise level, or both.
- It publishes a price you can pay without a sales call, listed on the vendor’s own site.
- Every fact has a date. Vaylis was read on October 9, 2026. Rankability, Rankscale’s plans, credit costs and engine count, and Goodie AI were read on October 9; Otterly.ai’s Lite plan and LLMrefs on October 7; Peec AI’s reporting on October 5 and its trial on October 9; Peec AI’s plans, Promptwatch and AthenaHQ on October 1, 2026.
Cituna comes first because it is ours. The other eight follow by their lowest paid plan billed monthly, cheapest first, with ties in alphabetical order. The numbers help you find an entry; they are not a score. Trackers that pass the first and third tests but add nothing to Vaylis’s three engines or its API terms, such as Searchable, whose base plans list the same three engines, are left out.

Rival prices are in US dollars as each vendor lists them; Vaylis prices are in euros and include VAT, so we do not compute a difference between them. Vaylis from vaylis.ai/pricing, October 9, 2026; Cituna from cituna.com/pricing; the others on the dates in the method above. Cituna does not track Microsoft Copilot, Meta AI, DeepSeek or Brave AI. Pricing in this category changes often; check before you buy.
The 9 best Vaylis alternatives in detail
1. Cituna (best for seven engines daily, with fixes written)
Cituna watches how seven AI engines answer the questions your buyers ask and then drafts the change that would put you in the answer. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode are each asked your prompts every day on every paid plan. For each answer it logs whether your brand appeared, your position among the brands listed, which of your pages were cited and which competitors were recommended in your place. Where a rival wins, it generates schema, FAQ markup or an llms.txt entry for the page that should have been cited, and for questions your site does not answer at all, AutoSEO writes up to 30 articles a month on Starter, held as drafts until you approve them. Search Console connects on every paid plan so a fix can be checked against real clicks, API keys are issued on every paid plan, and Pro adds keyword and SERP-rank data.
- Best for: a brand or growing team whose buyers use Claude, Grok or Gemini as well as ChatGPT, and who want the data in their own tools without an enterprise contract.
- What it costs: Cituna Starter is $39 a month for one brand and 10 prompts checked daily on all seven engines (2,100 answers a month); Cituna Pro is $119 for three brands, 30 prompts and five seats; Cituna Max is $399 for ten brands, 90 prompts and 15 seats. Every plan is on the pricing page.
- Where it falls short against Vaylis: Vaylis Starter checks 15 prompts to Cituna Starter’s 10, every Vaylis plan has unlimited users, and Cituna’s Pro and Max cap seats at 5 and 15. Cituna does not score sentiment and does not track Microsoft Copilot or Meta AI, both of which Vaylis’s home page names. Cituna’s trial is 3 days and needs a card; Vaylis offers 7.
2. Otterly.ai (best for Copilot on a small budget)
Otterly.ai’s Lite plan costs $29 a month for 15 daily prompts on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, with unlimited team members (otterly.ai/pricing, October 7, 2026). That is the same prompt count and the same unlimited-team policy as Vaylis Starter, with Copilot added. On October 1, 2026, Otterly.ai sold Gemini and Google AI Mode as $9-a-month add-ons on Lite and Claude as a $29 add-on, and did not sell Grok.
- Best for: a small team that likes Vaylis Starter’s shape but needs Microsoft Copilot.
- What it costs: Otterly.ai is $29, $189 or $489 a month.
- Where it falls short: Otterly.ai’s API and MCP start on the $189 Standard plan, so Lite has the same no-API gap as Vaylis Starter, and it does not generate fixes. Our Otterly alternatives page goes deeper.
3. LLMrefs (best for eleven engines, one flat fee)
LLMrefs sells one All in One plan, shown on October 7, 2026 at a limited-time $79 a month, covering 500 prompts on eleven engines, Claude, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, Meta AI and DeepSeek among them. LLMrefs seats and projects are unlimited, and the plan includes an API, CSV export, a 7-day trial and targeting in more than 50 countries (llmrefs.com/pricing).
- Best for: a team that wants Vaylis’s unlimited seats and CSV export, plus an API and eight more engines, at one price.
- What it costs: LLMrefs is $79 a month.
- Where it falls short: answers refresh weekly where Vaylis refreshes daily, so a sudden drop shows up days later. See our LLMrefs alternatives.
4. Peec AI (best for share of voice and sentiment)
Peec AI reports visibility, position, sentiment and share of voice each day against the competitors you name (read October 5, 2026). Peec AI’s Starter is $95 a month, or $80 billed yearly, for 50 prompts on three models picked from ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI, with unlimited users. Peec AI’s Pro at $245 holds 150 prompts and Peec AI’s Advanced at $495 holds 350 (peec.ai/pricing, October 1, 2026). Peec AI offers a free trial, length not stated (October 9, 2026).
- Best for: a marketing lead who presents competitor share and tone to leadership and wants Copilot or Gemini in place of one of Vaylis’s three.
- What it costs: Peec AI is $95, $245 or $495 a month; Enterprise is quoted.
- Where it falls short: still three engines at a time, the same number as Vaylis, and Claude and Grok wait for Peec AI’s Enterprise plan. See our Peec AI alternatives.
5. Promptwatch (best for choosing your own four models)
Promptwatch’s Essential plan is $95 a month for 50 prompts and 6,000 responses on four models you choose from OpenAI, Perplexity, Google, Claude, Gemini, Meta, DeepSeek and Grok, refreshed daily, with an API, MCP and a 7-day trial. Promptwatch’s Professional plan, at $245, raises prompts to 150 and adds AI crawler logs and five articles a month (promptwatch.com/pricing, October 1, 2026).
- Best for: a technical team that wants an API on the first plan, which Vaylis keeps for Enterprise, and a free hand in which four models to watch.
- What it costs: Promptwatch is $95, $245 or $579 a month; the top plan is sold through a demo.
- Where it falls short: four models at once on Essential, and articles only from Professional. See our Promptwatch alternatives.
6. Rankability (best for agencies with client workspaces)
Rankability combines AI tracking with SEO content work for agencies. Rankability’s Starter plan is $97 a month, or $970 a year, for 100 AI queries, 20 content projects, 50 Google keywords and 10 Local Pack scans, with unlimited client workspaces and team members and API and MCP access. Every Rankability plan checks 11 platforms daily, Claude, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek and Meta AI among them; Rankability’s Agency plan is $297 and Agency Pro $497 (rankability.com/pricing, October 9, 2026).
- Best for: an agency that wants Vaylis-style unlimited seats, eleven engines and an API, with client content work in the same login.
- What it costs: Rankability is $97, $297 or $497 a month; yearly plans cost ten months.
- Where it falls short: a single in-house brand pays for client workspaces, local scans and content projects it may not need. See our Rankability alternatives.
7. Rankscale (best for the longest engine list, on credits)
Rankscale sells credits whose cost per run depends on the engine: on October 9, 2026, Rankscale’s calculator charged 0.25 credits for a ChatGPT run and 2 for a Claude run. Rankscale’s monthly plans begin at Pro, $99 for 1,200 credits, which Rankscale estimates at about 4,800 AI responses; Rankscale’s Pro+ at $229 adds a REST API, Growth at $385 adds white-label reports, and Rankscale lists Enterprise at $780 (rankscale.ai/pricing, October 9, 2026). Rankscale’s home page counts 17 or more engines on all plans, Claude, Grok and Microsoft Copilot included, and Rankscale offers a 7-day trial of Pro.
- Best for: a team that wants the widest engine list here and is happy to manage a credit budget.
- What it costs: Rankscale is $99, $229, $385 or $780 a month.
- Where it falls short: a Claude run costs eight times a ChatGPT run, so the bill is harder to forecast than Vaylis’s fixed prompt tiers, and Rankscale’s API starts at $229. See our Rankscale alternatives.
8. AthenaHQ (best for a free tier before paying)
AthenaHQ charges one credit per AI response. AthenaHQ’s free Essential tier gives 300 credits on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, already two engines more than Vaylis’s self-serve plans show. AthenaHQ’s Starter, at $295 a month, buys 3,600 credits on eleven named models, adding Google AI Mode, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral, and connects GA4 and Search Console (athenahq.ai/plans, October 1, 2026).
- Best for: a team that wants to see Gemini and Copilot results for free before committing to a paid tracker.
- What it costs: AthenaHQ is free, then $295 a month (17% less billed annually); Enterprise is custom.
- Where it falls short: the step from AthenaHQ’s free tier to paid is $295 a month, and it buys credits rather than a fixed daily prompt count, so heavy weeks eat into the month. See our AthenaHQ alternatives.
9. Goodie AI (best for strategist support with Copilot)
Goodie AI’s Core plan is $399 a month for 120 prompts checked daily on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot, for one brand in two countries and two languages. Goodie AI’s Core includes MCP with 50 optimization actions a month, revenue attribution, five seats with AEO strategist support, a 30-minute onboarding call and a 7-day trial. Goodie AI’s Pro, at $999, moves to eight models and 250 prompts, without naming the extra models on the pricing page (higoodie.com/pricing, October 9, 2026).
- Best for: a larger brand that wants a person to guide the work and Copilot and Google AI Mode on its first plan.
- What it costs: Goodie AI is $399 or $999 a month; Enterprise is custom.
- Where it falls short: Core leaves out Gemini, Claude and Grok, caps seats at five where Vaylis has no seat limit, and limits optimization actions to 50 a month. See our Goodie AI alternatives.
How to pick a Vaylis alternative
Begin with the engines. If your buyers mostly use ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overviews and you want every colleague to log in, Vaylis’s three-engine plans with unlimited seats already do that job. If they also ask Claude, Grok and Gemini, choose among the tools above that cover all three on the first plan: Cituna, LLMrefs, Rankability, Rankscale, AthenaHQ’s paid tier, and Promptwatch as three of its four picks.
Then decide how you want the data. For an API without an enterprise contract, Cituna, LLMrefs, Promptwatch and Rankability include one on their first paid plan. For a fixed daily prompt count rather than credits, rule out Rankscale and AthenaHQ. For drafted fixes rather than a report, Cituna generates them and Goodie AI meters optimization actions.
The fairest test costs nothing: take 20 questions your buyers actually ask, run them on two trials for three days, and read the raw answers side by side. Note which brands each answer named, which pages it cited, and what each tool told you to change.
